I Am

The day has been long and your heart is heavy with a weight that makes it hard to breathe. Darkness, weight, shame, discouragement, loneliness, hunger; emotions you do not want are yours to bear.
Then you see the pillows, curtains, cushions and blankets which you carefully chose for a day like today. They remind you how Jesus Christ can strengthen and nourish your spirit, how he protects you in the midst of raging trials. They remind you of his humble beginning and how he shows the way up and out of captivity. You feel the warmth of his light as he brightly shines the way forward.
Your heart takes courage because you know Jesus Christ truly is all that he promised he would be for YOU - your Bread of LIfe, your Deliverer, your True Vine, your Rock and Fortress, your Redeemer, your Light, your Good Shepherd.
